With the groggy sound of an alarm clock going of at 4 in the morning it was time to get up and "Beat the heat." Waking up this early after a night at the bar isn't ideal but none the less we carried onto what was needed most. Breakfast and coffee to sooth the pain. As soon as Evan finished fixing his first flat of the trip(Hank, now the only person not to have a flat yet), we were off to Glasgow. With the sun rising and cool air breezing by it made for a great ride, not to mention the 25-30 mph tail winds and 50 mph gust. With Hand and Donald ahead they were able to keep a consistent 30 mph ride eventually passing the couple they meet early at Saco. After a quick bite to eat we continued our ride with the tailwinds still blowing strong. With only a 50 miles ride that day we were able to reach Glasgow in about 3 hours, including our breaks and fixing a rear rack. We stayed at a place called the Cottonwood Inn which was also recommend by one of the bikers from the Bike the US for Ms group. It was quite the treat, not only did they have a campers area but you could also use the facilities that the hotel had, which includes a pool and jacuzzi. With a quick dip in the pool we made our way to Subway for dinner the head back to catchup on lost sleep.
